We’ve started Absolutely The Hague! to become The Platform for English speaking and reading people who love The Hague, also known as Den Haag or ‘s-Gravenhage or La Haye, a city in The Netherlands.

We’ve just started and would like to get as many The Hague Lovers on board!

Developments of and around the blog are posted in the category Site News

In the meantime we’ve created a Facebook Page and a Flickr Group.

  1. Dear Absolutely The Hague,
We would like to ask your attention for an exciting event:

The Dutch Factory presents A Midsummernight’s dream (in English) at:
Het Haagse Bos! September 21st at 14.00 hrs.

A breathtaking set, the audience in charge and actors who know various parts…these are the ingredients of an exciting evening. Enter the world of magic, love, confusion and fantasy and celebrate 450 years of Shakespeare with this once in a lifetime experience.

The Dutch Factory brings exhilarating, interactive Shakespeare performances in which the venue, the audience and the original text are the keyplayers. And this afternoon’s cast? That is up to you. Only Shakespeare’s Lines are fixed, everything else is left to the beauty of chance.

Book tickets at http://www.thedutchfactory.nl and go to ticketshop.
For more information please contact The Dutch Factory
    06 51405576 or info@thedutchfactory.nl

We hope to see you and your followers at the show in The Hague
Sincerely, Amber Teterissa & Liesbeth Rood

  2. Hello Hagenaars;),

I was wondering if you could take a look at my page on The Hague:

There are already a lot of museums and activities added and also some articles. Would it be allowed if I use some pictures of your site (I will reference your website)? Also tips would be very welcome:)

    Thx & Best regards,

  3. Dear Absolutely The Hague,

Sorry for sending you this through comments, but I couldn’t find your e-mail address. I came across your blog and found it to be a good source of information about Hague. My company publishes an iPhone app consisting of self-guided walking tours in Hague. However, these walking tours were compiled three years ago and some of the information may be out of date. We would like to invite you and your blog readers to review the tour content and give us feedback.

If you would be willing to post a “Looking for reviews” announcement for us, we will offer you 25 promo codes for our iOS walking tour apps. Each of these is good for a free walking tour iPhone app download, normally priced at US$4.99. We have walking tour apps covering all major cities in the world and you may use the promo codes for whatever purpose you see fit. The bloggers we have worked with before often use the promo codes to host a photo/writing contest or reward readers for making comments to their blog posts.

For readers who send us useful feedback, we will also offer free promo codes.

If you are interested, I can send you the proposed announcement for your review. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards,

    Xena Copilova

  4. World Society for the Protection of Animals is organizing a charity dinner at the Carlton Ambasador Hotel on March 14. The yield will go to our Red Collar Campaign, saving about 800.000 dogs from being slain out of plain fear of rabiës. We’ll vaccinate them.
A nice dinner, beautiful wines, artists and an auction. If you would like to give this some attention, please contact me. Thanks in advance.

  5. Love your site…maybe you can also share information about La Buena Vida and our monthly (first Wednesday of the month) Expat/RePat coffee mornings. They are well attended and always a great source of networking and inspiration! Our next one is this Wednesday the 6th of February.
    Thanks, Ginny
